This 7 week wheel throwing course will give you the opportunity to learn all the steps of making pottery including throwing, trimming, attaching handles and glazing. It is made up of seven 2.5 hour classes.
It is suitable for beginners or those who are looking to improve their skills.
All sessions will run from my studio in Southsea, Portsmouth, PO5.
The first 6 weeks usually run consecutively. There will usually be a week’s break to get your pots dried & fired. Then week 7 will be glazing your pots before the final firing.
This is a small class of no more than 4 students so there is plenty of time and attention for everyone.
We will focus on mugs, bowls and vases and each participant will come away with 6-9 pieces at the end of the course.
The final glaze firing will take place after the course has finished and pots will be available to collect approximately 3-4 weeks after the last date.
Please check you are able to attend all the dates of the course, it won’t be possible to swap days to make up missed sessions. Please check the listing for each course to double check dates.
Minimum age is 16. If you are unable to attend the workshop after booking please get in contact. Refunds or an alternative date can only be arranged up to 14 days before the booked date. Any refund issued will be minus 2% transaction fee.
